Departure from Chetumal 8:00 am; Our day will start off at the beautiful archaeological site of Chacchoben which has jungle surrounding it, allowing it to be characterized by many species of fauna. If we are lucky we might be able to greet some spider and howler monkeys.
After enjoying the amazing history of Chacchoben, we will head onto Lake Bacalar where you’ll be able to visit various parts of this astonishing seven colored lake which was named after the wide-ranging fame of turquoise tones of its crystalline waters.
The boat tour includes a visit to the following sites: Cenote Esmeralda, Cenote Negro, San Felipe Fort, Canal de los Piratas, Islotes, and Cenote Cocalitos. In the Pirate Channel, you are given 30 to 40 minutes to swim and exfoliate your body with the sand that contains sulfur.
